NETANYAHU TO START BIBLE STUDY IN HIS HOME: Pray that all Israelis follow his lead and begin reading the Word, like in the days of King Josiah

I read a fascinating story in the Jerusalem Post this morning and it gave me fresh hope for the nation of Israel. ”Taking a page out of David Ben-Gurion and Menachem Begin’s playbook, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu will begin hosting a regular Bible study group in his official residence for researchers, public officials and invited guests, “reports the Post . “Netanyahu announced the establishment of the study circle on Friday at a ceremony marking 30 days since the passing of his father-in-law, Shmuel Ben-Artzi. The study group will be named after Ben-Artzi, a noted poet and Bible teacher. Both Ben-Gurion and Begin, when they each served as prime minister, hosted regular Bible study groups. Netanyahu said he was establishing the class to perpetuate love of the Bible.” Interestingly, in recent years Netanyahu — who has never described himself as a religious person — appears to have been developing a deeper interest in Bible study. In January 2010, Netanyahu delivered an address at Auschwitz saying the prophecies of Ezekiel 37 have come to pass in our lifetimes. In March of 2010, Netanyahu’s son, Avner, won the National Bible Quiz in Israel. In July 2010, Netanyahu told Larry King that he likes to study the Bible on Saturday mornings with his son, Avner.

These are excellent steps by the Prime Minister, and he should be commended for them. Indeed, let us pray that the study of the Word of God has a powerful, personal impact on the Prime Minister and his family and each of his colleagues and guests. Let’s pray that many Israelis would follow the Prime Minister’s lead and begin reading the Holy Scriptures again, and that Bible studies in people’s homes would spring up all over the Land of Israel. Let’s pray that pray that more and more Israelis would develop a new and deeper curiosity about Bible prophecy, both the dramatic prophecies in the Scriptures that have already been fulfilled, and those that will come to pass soon, including the all-important prophecies about the Messiah.

Such a national reawakening to the importance of the Scriptures has happened before in Israel’s history. Remember men like Nehemiah, Ezra, Josiah, and Joel? These were beloved governors, priests, kings and prophets whom the Lord used to turn the Jewish people back to the Scriptures and the need for national and individual prayer, fasting and repentance. One of my favorite examples is found in 2 Kings 22. I’d encourage you to read it afresh, for it is the remarkable story of King Josiah. At the age of 8, Josiah took the throne. When he was 18, he instructed the temple to be cleaned and renovated. In so doing, he learned that a long forgotten copy of the Scriptures had been found in the temple. Indeed, someone brought him the dusty scrolls and read the Word to the king. “When the king heard the words of the book of the law, he tore his clothes” in repentance for all of Israel’s sinful ways, and his own. Then the king commanded Hilkiah the priest and several other servants, “Go, inquire of the Lord for me and the people and all Judah concerning the words of this book that has been found, for great is the wrath of the Lord that burns against us, because our fathers have not listened to the words of this book, to do according to all that is written concerning us.” In 2 Kings 23 , then, comes the equally amazing story of King Josiah gathering all the people of Israel tand reading the Word of the Lord to them. Together, convicted of their own sins, they chose to make a covenant before the Lord to obey His all of His commandments. “Before him,” the Bible says, “there was no king like him who turned to the Lord with all his might, according to the law of Moses; nor did any like him arise after him.” Let us pray that Israel once again experience a national renaissance of hunger for the Word of the Lord. Amen.

Failure of EU treaty deal brings a new ‘two-speed Europe’ | euronews, world news

There will be no changes to the Lisbon Treaty after the failure of all 27 members states to agree on terms, meaning the 17 eurozone countries will have to come to a side deal.

The amendments to the EU treaty would have meant closer fiscal integration aimed at saving the euro, but now the eurozone countries, plus possibly another six EU members, will have to go it alone.

The UK and Hungary remain opposed to signing a new treaty or making changes to current ones.

Economist warns global slowdown will be of Biblical scale

OTTAWA — Such is the severity of post-recession malaise engulfing the world that CIBC's chief economist invokes Biblical comparisons to warn the end of the "famine" is years away.

"Akin to Pharaoh's dream for Egypt, the global economy could well be in the midst of seven lean years, as the debt-financed bounty of the prior expansion left a growth famine in its wake," Avery Shenfeld said in his year-end economic outlook.

The Pharoah's dream, contained in Genesis, portends seven years of prosperity followed by seven lean years. Now halfway though those leans years, which began with the recession in 2008, Canada, and the world around it, will be mired until mid-decade in a prolonged slump, Shenfeld said.

The Syrian crisis aassumed a big power dimension this week with the build-up of rival United States and Russia naval air carrier armadas in Syrian waters, DEBKAfile's military sources report.
The USS George H.W. Bush arrived Wednesday, Nov. 23, in the wake of the three Russian warships anchored earlier opposite Tartus which established a command post in the Syrian port. They will be augmented by Russia's only air carrier the Admiral Kuznetsov, which is due in mid-week.
By deploying 70 ship-borne fighter-bombers plus three heavy guided missile cruisers and five guided missile destroyers opposite Syria, Washington has laid down military support for any intervention the Arab League in conjunction with Turkey may decide on.

Medvedev takes aim at US missile shield, targeting also Israel's missile defenses

After deploying three warships in Syrian waters, Moscow continues to beat war drums against the United States followed closely by Tehran. Wednesday, Nov. 23, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev told state television: "I have ordered the armed forces to develop measures to ensure if necessary that we can destroy the command and control systems" of the planned US missile-defense system in Europe. These measures are appropriate, effective and low-cost."
Iranian Supreme Leader's top advisor for military affairs Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi came next. He said: "The Iranian Revolutionary Guards controls the identity and destination of every US warship which intends to pass through the Strait of Hormuz."
DEBKAfile's military sources report that the US missile shield's command and control systems which the Russian president spoke of destroying are linked directly to Israel's missile defense network against Iranian, Syria and Hizballah missiles and the X-Band radar station located in the southern Israeli Negev.
Medvedev's threat to American "command and control systems" was therefore comprehensive. It referred not just to the US anti-missile shield facilities planned for Europe, but also to preparing measures for use ("if necessary") - in the course of a possible American or Israeli attack on Iran or Syria - for striking the US missile defense systems in Europe before they can intercept Iranian missiles.

Italian borrowing costs reached breaking point on Wednesday after Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi's insistence on elections instead of an interim government opened the way to prolonged instability and delays to economic reform.

Italian 10-year bond yields shot above the 7 percent level that is widely deemed unsustainable, reflecting investors' concerns that they may not get their money back and prompting German Chancellor Angela Merkel to issue a call to arms.

Merkel said Europe's plight was now so "unpleasant'' that deep structural reforms were needed quickly, warning the rest of the world would not wait.

"That will mean more Europe, not less Europe,'' she told a conference in Berlin.

She called for changes in EU treaties after French President Nicolas Sarkozy advocated a two-speed Europe in which euro zone countries accelerate and deepen integration while an expanding group outside the currency bloc stayed more loosely connected — a signal that some members may have to quit the euro if the entire structure is not to crumble.

Merkel Calls for 'Breakthrough to a New Europe'

"It is time for a breakthrough to a new Europe,'' Merkel said. "A community that says, regardless of what happens in the rest of the world, that it can never again change its ground rules, that community simply can't survive.''

A senior EU official said changing the make-up of the euro zone has been discussed on an "intellectual" level but had not moved to operational or technical discussions, while a French government source said there was no such project in the works.

The End Of The Last Days

In the decades that followed the rebirth of Israel as a nation in 1948, Bible prophecy scholars have been declaring the realization that we are in the last days and that Christ is coming soon. But as the decades continue to roll by many have become weary of the message that we are in the last days and have presumed Christ’s return to be far off. The problem with the people that are losing hope in Christ’s soon return is that perhaps they do not understand just exactly what the last days are in light of the big picture.

Hebrews 1:1-2 tells us that the period known as being the “last days”began when Jesus Christ came into the world.

God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, (Hebrews 1:1-2).

The Holy Spirit inspired the writer of Hebrews to inform us that the last days began nearly 2,000 years ago. What does that mean to us now?  Many people, (including myself), believe that God works in dispensations and that the time period of man’s governing the earth is 6,000 years divided into three sections. The first 2,000 years being approximately from Adam to Abraham.  The next 2,000 years approximately from Abraham to Christ and the last 2,000 years, (hence the last days) being from Christ to the present.  This could very well be the reason that the New Testament writers often referenced their day as being the last days, however to us it was nearly 2,000 years ago.  Even though it seems so long ago to us for them to be referring to their day as the last days it was still within that last 2,000-year dispensation. They were just at the beginning of it.  They knew about these dispensations. They knew that they were in the beginning section of the period of the last days. If that was nearly 2,000 years ago then that means that we are at the last section of that same period known as the last days.

In 2 Peter 3:8 and Psalm 90:4 it tells us that “a day with the Lord is as a thousand years.”  I don’t believe this is just an arbitrary statement. I believe this is written so that we can use it as a measuring rod for knowing the timetable of God’s plan for the redemption of mankind. So if a day is as a thousand years with the Lord then it may be that the six days of creation written in Genesis reflect the 6,000 years of man’s governing the world and that the 7^th day of rest is the 1,000 year reign of Christ on earth that is written about in Revelation 20.

Hebrews 4:1-5 informs us that there is a period still yet to come that has been promised by God as a time of rest for His people.

Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any on you seem to have come short of it. For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it. For we who have believed do enter that rest, as He has said: “So I swore in My wrath, they shall not enter My rest,” although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way: “And God rested on the seventh day from all His works”; and again in this place: “They shall not enter My rest.”
(Hebrews 4:1-5 emphasis added)

Notice that this promise of rest for God’s people is about entering intoHis rest and the writer of Hebrews quotes the Genesis creation account of the 7^th Day as he informs us about this coming period of rest.  The writer switches back and forth from the 1^st person to the 3^rdperson.  The people that are being spoke about in the 3^rd person that will not enter into His rest are those that were rebellious with hardened hearts that were in the wilderness for 40 years during the Exodus as he is quoting from Psalm 95 there.

The apostle Paul spoke of the “the fullness of time” in a manner that seems to support that God’s overall plan for man is set up in specific dispensations of time. In Galatians chapter 4 Paul is describing the timing in which God sent His Son into the world and he phrases it like this:

“But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we may receive the adoption as sons.” (Galatians 4:4-5)

If God’s dispensations for man are of three 2,000 year periods and Christ’s coming into the world was at the transition point from the 2^ndperiod into the 3^rd period which we are currently near the end of, then the phrase, “when the fullness of time had come” in the above verse seems to support this notion.  Paul seems to be telling us that a certain dispensation of time had to be fulfilled before the Son of God could then come into the world, hence – a divine appointment! This implies that there is a predetermined scripted course of events that God has in place for us to know our position in history – or rather His story!

Israel becoming a nation again in 1948 is certainly the end time sign letting us know that things are beginning to wrap up and that we are coming close to the end of this last 2,000-year period.  Since all of the prophecies about the return of the Lord in the end times involve Israelbeing back in their land we know that we are close to His return sinceIsrael has re-emerged unto the world scene. Lets take a brief look at the scenario in the last days that involve Israel by going backwards from the time that the Lord Jesus Christ will be reigning on earth.

When Christ the Lord returns He will sit on His throne in Jerusalem, (see Ezekiel 43:7, Zechariah 14:16-21 and Matthew 19:28).  His throne will be in the rebuilt Temple that will be in Israel.  All of the nations of the world will be gathered to the Valley of Jehoshaphat, which is inIsrael, traditionally in the Kidron Valley between the Temple Mountand the Mount of Olives. There the Lord will enter into judgment with them on account of His people and His heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations and divided up His land, (Joel 3:1-2paraphrased). This is likely where the “Sheep & Goat” Judgment will take place, (Matthew 25:31-46).  Just prior to this the Lord Jesus Christ will have physically returned to the earth to intervene and cut short the battle of Armageddon, a.k.a. Megiddo which is a real place in Israel, (Revelation 16:16).  Here Christ will destroy the antichrist and false prophet and have Satan bound for 1,000 years.  He will also save the human race from extinction for if He did not cut the days short of this battle no human flesh would survive, (Matthew 24:22). Three and a half years prior to this event the antichrist will have entered the rebuilt Temple in Jerusalem and will have declared himself to be God, (2 Thessalonians 2:4 & Matthew 24:15). Just prior to the antichrist entering the Temple the Two Witnesses appointed by God will be prophesying in Jerusalem probably right on the Temple Mount according to Revelation 11, for the first three and a half years of the Tribulation. So when we trace the prophesied end time events backwards from when the Lord will reign on earth to the beginning of the Tribulation we can see that Israel is the centerpiece of all that is to come in the last days.

Before God’s 6,000-year plan for mankind is finished there will be 7 years of Tribulation on the earth as never has been before, (Matthew 24:21).  This period of Tribulation is a time of testing for those that were too stubborn to come to Christ during the Age of Grace and a final time of purging Israel in preparation for the Kingdom of Christ to be set up there. Israel will finally come to know Christ as their Savior, (Zechariah 12:10).  This will also be a time where God will purge the world of evil and wickedness ushering in a period of restoration in which the world will be restored to its formal state of perfection as it was in the time of Adam and Eve just after the creation.

The Rapture of the church is the next thing to take place on the prophetic calendar. There are no signs or events that must precede the Rapture. However, the Rapture must first occur before the antichrist can be revealed (2 Thessalonians 2:7-8), and before any of the Tribulation events can begin and yet we can see many of the Tribulation events being set up and falling into place on the world scene today. This is how we know that the Rapture is VERY close. What are some of the things that we are currently witnessing being set up that will occur in the Tribulation?  Let’s take a look at just a few of them.

1.) The current turmoil of the world economy – As I am writing this the current international world markets are collectively plummeting and the economy is failing on a global scale as never before. In the Tribulation the economy will be in dire straits. See Revelation 6:6 and James 5:1-6. This will result in a financially vulnerable world that will somehow allow a “one world order” where a world dictator takes control of all buying and selling known as the antichrist or “the beast”, (Revelation 13:11-18).

2.) The increase of earthquakes - Jesus told us that one of the things we are to watch out for, as a sign of His soon return, is the increase ofearthquakes in various places, (Matthew 24:7).  We live in a technological time where an earthquake can take place on the other side of the world and we will know about it in minutes. Back in Jesus’ day if an earthquake occurred on the other side of the world you would probably never hear about it. So we know that this prophecy is intended for our day and the use of technology has certainly kept us informed of the increase in earthquakes that we are witnessing and in various places!

3.) Cashless society - A mere 30 years or so ago it was hard to conceive how a world leader known as the antichrist would be able to monitor everyone so that they could not buy or sell unless they had his mark on their hand or forehead. Now with technology as advanced as it has quickly become not only is it possible but it is in the process of being set up! Cash would have to be eliminated for the antichrist to be able to electronically monitor all buying and selling. These days it is common for people to get paid on payday have their check electronically direct deposited and use their debit or credit card to spend that money without ever touching cash. The whole time all of their transactions are being documented. Cash could be eliminated and it wouldn’t really change the average way of life all that much. One of the motivations for the elimination of cash would be to end the war on drugs as all drug deals are done anonymously with cash as well as most other black markets. The country of Poland is purposely striving to become a cashless society by the year 2014!

4.) Technology - While technology has done wonders in the field of science and medicine, technology is also greatly assisting to help set up the system that the antichrist will use to control the world and everyone in it. The microchip is already being used in some places inEurope to contain a person’s personal information such as health records, citizenship status, police records, etc., and is about the size of a grain of rice that is implanted into the person’s hand. It is also being used as a scanning device for entrance into secured buildings and identification. The micro chipping of animals to monitor their whereabouts has been in use for years so the same technique could just as well be used for humans in the future. Skeptics often say that it would be impossible for the antichrist to microchip everyone on earth but what they are forgetting is that with the combination of the Rapture and all of the people that will be killed in the early part of the Tribulation, (Revelation 6), there won’t be nearly as many people on earth as there is now when the time comes that this would be implemented, (Revelation 13).  Not to mention that there will be quite a few people that will not take the mark of the beast as well, (Revelation 20:4).

5.) Israel’s enemies - All of the alliances that the Bible prophets have foretold would be against Israel in the last days are currently in place now. There is Russia, Turkey and Iran for the Gog-Magog War andLebanon, Syria, Jordan (Palestinians), and Gaza for the Psalm 83 War. The time is also ripe for the fulfillment of a nuclear destruction ofDamascus that seems to be strongly predicted in Isaiah 17. Damascushappens to be a current popular meeting place at the crossroads for all of these nations that plot against Israel. Egypt also has just recently broken its frail alliance with Israel adding to the list of nations that are against Israel.  Libya is also mentioned as being in conjunction with the Gog-Magog posse, (Ezekiel 38:5), and we are currently witnessing the changing of the guard occurring there.  In the end, the prophet Zechariah predicts that ALL of the nations of the world will eventually be against Israel, (Zechariah 12:3), but the nations that are predicted to be coalitions in the wars against Israel that shall usher in the beginning of the Tribulation are now currently in place.

These are just a few of the many things that point to the soon to come Tribulation period. To the average person most of this goes by unnoticed but to the Bible believing watchmen these things are screaming at us! They scream at us because we know that the Rapture will precede all of these things and that Christ has commanded us to watch for these things so that we’ll know it is near and be able to warn others. It is our duty!

The apostle John is a perfect role model as being a New Testament watchman warning the brethren about being watchful in the times we live in. In his first epistle he said this:

Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour. (1 John 2:18)

John’s warning about the coming antichrist is stated as being in the“last hour” which is where we are currently at in history. John certainly knew the judgments that would be coming upon the world, being the writer of the book of Revelation, (Christ being the author). So if John is warning us almost 2,000 years ago that the antichrist is coming then how much closer are we to it now! He warns us that manyantichrists have come by which we know that it is the last hour. According to John, an antichrist is “he that denies that Jesus is the Christ and denies the Father and the Son,” (1 John 2:22). Obviously there can’t be an “anti-christ” unless there was first a “Christ” (which means “anointed one”), and we know that to be Jesus of Nazareth and as I mentioned earlier in this article, the “last days” began when Jesus Christ was sent into this world.

When the last days are mentioned in the Old Testament it is usually phrased as “in the latter days” which implies a future time or dispensation, (see for example Deuteronomy 4:30 and 31:29), but when the last days are mentioned in the New Testament it is usually phrased as “in these last days” as being in a present era or dispensation, (see for example the above verse from 1 John 2:18 and Hebrews 1:1-2).  This is further indication that “the last days” is a period or dispensation and not just an arbitrary statement that we are not able to know the time of. In fact, Daniel 8:19 confirms that the end of this age is for an “appointed” time.

“And he said, “Look I am making known to you what shall happen in the latter time of the indignation; for at the appointed time the end shall be.” (Daniel 8:19)

The angel told Daniel that the end of this age of indignation is set for an appointed time, which means that there has been a preordained appointment made for the end time events that are to come. There is nothing arbitrary about it. We live in a predetermined age that has been predetermined by the sovereign Lord. See also Acts 17:31.

Many people tend to let there watchful guard down because of the statement that Jesus made saying that we don’t know the day or the hour of His return and that only the Father knows that day and hour, (Matthew 24:36).  This is true but Jesus also commands us to be watchful of the times and seasons so that that Day does not come upon us as a snare, (Luke 21:35 & Mark 13:35-37).  There are more admonitions from our Lord Jesus about watching the times and seasons than there are about not knowing the day or the hour.  In fact, Jesus rebuked the people of His day for not knowing the time of their visitation, (Messiah Jesus’ first advent), even though they could predict the weather by watching the sky, (Luke 12:54-56). The only way the people would have known who He was and when He would be there is by searching the Scriptures and they only had the Old Testament at that time. So how much more should we be aware of the times we are living in pertaining to His Second Coming by searching the Scriptures that we have now. In the Old Testament Christ was concealed but we have the New Testament where Christ is revealed. The apostle Paul assured us that we who are Bible believing followers of Christ would not be in darkness concerning His return.

But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. (1 Thessalonians 5:4)

Judging from the time table that God has provided us in His Word, the signs He told us to watch for and the current events that are going on around the world, we can clearly see that we are not only living in the period of the “last days” but we are at the end of the last days! We are in the latter section of the last set out of three sets of 2,000-year periods.  Due to discrepancies and differences in the early first few century calendars it is difficult to precisely pinpoint exactly where we are on God’s timeline of His 6,000 year plan. However, we do know that Christ was walking this earth 2,000 years ago. While we may not know the day or the hour we certainly know the season that we are living in and that should be more than enough to have us all looking up!

“Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.” (Luke 21:28)

World Facing Worst Financial Crisis In History

Sir Mervyn King was speaking after the decision by the Bank’s Monetary Policy Committee to put £75billion of newly created money into the economy in a desperate effort to stave off a new credit crisis and a UK recession.

Under QE, the Bank electronically creates new money which it then uses to buy assets such as government bonds, or gilts, from banks. In theory, the banks then use the cash they gain to increase their lending to businesses and individuals.

By increasing the demand for gilts, QE pushes down the interest rate yields paid to holders of these and other bonds. Critics of the policy say it pushes up inflation and drives down sterling.

“This is the most serious financial crisis we’ve seen, at least since the 1930s, if not ever.”

The three-pronged deal would set up a massive fund to create a "firewall" around the most indebted eurozone countries, allow for an "orderly" Greek default on at least some of its liabilities, and bail out European banks most at risk from debt.

German and French officials came up with the strategy which aims to end the eurozone's sovereign debt crisis before it spirals completely out of control, plunging the world back into recession.

The likely deal came ahead of a major new setback for the British economy - with BAe Systems, Britain's biggest manufacturer, poised to cut 3,000 jobs.
Whitehall officials believe the job losses could be announced as early as this week and are likely to affect the company's military aircraft division in Warton, Lancashire, and Brough, Yorkshire.

The eurozone deal, being brokered by the G20 group of nations, would seek to "ring fence" the crisis around Greece, Portugal and Ireland - preventing it from spreading to major EU economies such as Italy and Spain.

The next three weeks in the Middle East - namely Israel, Cyprus and Turkey, may well provide far more excitement than any of us want. With the High Holy Days beginning on the 29th this always seems to cause Security to go into high gear in Israel, but this year even more so than usual. The so-called "Palestinians" asking the Arab controlled General Assembly of the United Nations to recognize them as a State is certain to cause riots, if not war, to break out here in Israel. And if Obama betrays Israel and does not veto this in the Security Council the bloodbath could begin right away. Hamas and Hezbollah will cut loose with all they have to back-up the PA in their determination to destroy the State of Israel.

It has also become obvious that Turkey is playing a very dangerous game to gain the upper hand in the Arab and Muslim World. Now that Egypt is not the top dog Turkey is forcing Israel into a confrontation at sea, with the real reason being to take control of the.natural gas and possibly the oil which is presently controlled by Israel.

Cyprus is also in Turkish sights because they sold their rights in the Mediterranean Sea to Israel. This could be a motivation for Turkey to once again attack the Cypriots. They have practically no military to speak of, and could certainly not defend themselves against Turkish forces. Turkey's main enemy over the past decades has been the Greek Government, and the fact that Israel and Greece have been building a strong relationship, both militarily and economically, doesn't sit well with Turkey.

But most likely the biggest motivator behind Turkey's aggression towards Israel over the past year has been the Prime Minister who has made it clear that he wants to see Turkey become more Islamic. He has, time and time again, allow his mouth to drive him into a corner by making so many threats against Israel. It has now come to a point that he must either put up or shut up.

So when you think matters couldn't look worse, they get worse and worse. The fact that Turkey and Iran have become very close over the past year or so only brings into view the prophecy of Ezekiel 38:5-6 - keeping in mind that Togarmah is today's Turkey.

We have a good idea what this whole thing means to us here in Israel. However, those reading this in the US, Europe and elsewhere may be wondering about what is going to happen here? My guess,which is nothing more than that, is that all this will be a signal for the Islamic Jihadi's to go into full operation. The world could very well go completely insane, just as the global economy collapses.

(CNN) -- A rare mix of factors combined to cause widespread severe weather and dozens of reported tornadoes across the southern United States Wednesday, experts said.

The National Weather Service had already received more than 100 reports of tornadoes by Wednesday night, and that number appeared to be climbing rapidly.

"This could be one of the most devastating tornado outbreaks in the nation's history by the time it's over," CNN Meteorologist Sean Morris said.

Several meteorological conditions combined Wednesday to create a particularly dangerous mix, he said. A storm system that brought severe weather to parts of the South Plains earlier this week was heading east, a cold front was moving across the Deep South and upper levels of the atmosphere were conducive for severe storms.

"It is tornado season, but an intensive event like this only will occur maybe once or twice a year," he said. "It's very rare to have all these ingredients come together."

The worst tornado outbreak in U.S. history occurred in April 1974, when 148 twisters touched down in 13 states over a 16-hour period, according to the National Weather Service. The agency said 330 people died and 5,484 were injured in a path of damage that covered more than 2,500 miles.

That month saw a total of 267 tornadoes -- the largest number recorded since 1950, according to the weather agency.

Authorities are still assessing damage from Wednesday's storms, and it could be days before officials establish how many tornadoes hit.

By Wednesday night, authorities said dozens of people had been killed as storms swept through Alabama, Mississippi and Arkansas.

And dramatic images of massive funnel clouds and flattened buildings left little doubt about the storms' strength.

"The storms are just amazingly explosive and they're covering a very large area," said Greg Carbin with the National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma.

With the latest outbreak, April may turn out to be a historic month for tornadoes, he said.

The Weather Service received unofficial reports of 39 tornadoes on Tuesday alone. The long-term average for confirmed tornadoes in April is 116.

"We may finish out April with more than 300 tornadoes," Carbin said. "It looks like it will be a record-breaker as far as sheer numbers go. The numbers for April are definitely on a record pace."

Marmara to return to Gaza in May

Vessel involved in deadly raid in May 2010 scheduled to take part in another flotilla to Gaza Strip next month, IHH declares. Total of 15 ships to participate in 'Freedom flotilla 2'

The Marmara ship which was involved in the deadly IDF raid last May is scheduled to return to Israel as part of the "Freedom flotilla 2" next month, head of the IHH Bülent Yildirim said Thursday.

The flotilla is slated to depart in the second half of the month of May. "What happened in last year's flotilla will not affect us or the next flotilla," Yildirim said. He noted that the Marmara will depart from Europe and will carry artists, journalists and politicians. The organizers claim more than 15 vessels are slated to take part in the flotilla.

Several of the Navy commandos were attacked and kidnapped to the lower deck. The soldiers were then forced to use live ammunition and killed nine of the passengers. A week after the incident the Turkish press distributed photos of bleeding IDF soldiers captured by the activists. In May 31, 2010 a Navy force raided the Marmara ship which had broken the naval blockade on the Gaza Strip. On board the vessel were terrorists from the IHH organization who ambushed the soldiers ahead of time. The ship also carried peace activists who apparently were not aware of the Turkish group's intentions.

Since returning to Turkey the Marmara has turned into a memorial site commemorating the event. The IHH recently hosted 10 Palestinian children on board the ship.

Israel, the tsunami is coming. Wake up!

In all likelihood, the Palestinians are going to unilaterally declare statehood in Judea and Samaria within the coming year. This is not a ploy or a desperate attempt on their part but rather a clear, rational decision. By correctly gauging the stark contrast between the massive international support for their cause as opposed to the steadily increasing de-legitimization of Israel the “apartheid state,” the Palestinians have wisely decided to bypass direct negotiations since there is no point in paying for something when you can get if for free.

Thus, with country after country pledging its support, the Palestinians are going to take their case to the United Nations.

There, the Palestinians have nothing to lose for even if the Security Council rejects their bid for statehood, it will most likely be approved by the General Assembly. Although this is less significant than an endorsement by the Security Council, an approval by the General Assembly does nonetheless have some teeth. Most notably, as many commentators pointed out, there is something known as UNGA Resolution 377 that allows the General Assembly to call for sanctions or even military force against a country that fails to implement its recommendations.

If the “civilized world” helps bring the Palestinian plan to fruition then a very likely result of such actions will be the outbreak of war. Thus, in a world turned upside down it will be the UN, a body formed to help foster peace throughout the world, which will be directly responsible for bringing the next great Arab-Israeli war to the Middle East.

Notably, more than 60 years ago the Palestinians rejected a similar state that had been allotted to them by the UN. A few months later when Israel had the "chutzpa" to declare a state, rather than reject one, in the portion they were granted by the UN, several Arab countries attacked the new Jewish state. That was the first war of independence, a result of Arab refusal to receive anything less than 100%.

In the following years, nothing has fundamentally changed in this respect, the only difference being that the Arabs have finally learned how to achieve their goal. Thus they're ready to accept what they formally rejected as a means for eventually getting it all.

Tsunami is coming

This brings us to today and the quickly approaching second war of independence. Unlike 60 years ago, this time around nearly the entire international community will be aligned with the Palestinians against Israel, making Israel the sole villain.

The war will not break out immediately, but rather, it will slowly escalate. First there will be calls for sanctions against Israel for failing to immediately remove its military and citizens from the new Arab state in Judea and Samaria. Then there will be the predictable eruption of terrorist attacks in Judea and Samaria, making life hell for the Jews living there. The attacks will then spill over into the rest of Israel, bringing back memories of the horror of a decade ago. Next up will be rocket attacks from Hamas in the south and Hezbollah in the north. Thanks to a porous border with Egypt as well as other regional changes, Iran will have no problem constantly rearming its proxies.

As the attacks intensify, Israel will be routinely chastised for retaliating and not showing proper restraint, as such Arab attacks will be viewed as somewhat understandable in light of continued Israeli noncompliance. Moreover, Israeli reprisals will probably draw some neighboring countries into the fray as they all begin to sense Israel’s imminent downfall.

If Israel is still obstinate following the sanctions and Arab attacks, then the UN may call for military intervention in order to enforce the will of the international community. Consequently, they will do to Israel what they will never do to Iran. After all, Israel's continued presence in Judea and Samaria - and not Arab violence, terrorism, hatred, anti-Semitism and intransigence – will be considered, like it is today, as being the main reason that peace and harmony is lacking in the region.
Following the isolating effect of sanctions and de-legitimization, together with incessant terrorist attacks and missile showers, the threat of military intervention will probably do the trick.
Having been cowered by the cumulative effect of all the actions, Israel will be sufficiently pliable to give in on everything – the removal of all Jewish presence from Judea and Samaria, the acceptance of the return of Palestinian refugees to Israel, the division and internalization of Jerusalem. Thus, the Palestinian War of Independence, the first stage in the total elimination of the State of Israel, will come to a conclusion.

Is this scenario an exaggeration? Perhaps, although one should keep in mind that before the Gaza Disengagement there were those who warned that the Israeli pullout from Gaza would result in missiles landing in nearby Ashkelon. As expected, such voices were ridiculed and ultimately ignored. History of course showed that these "right-wing hawks" erred. They were far too conservative with their predictions as missiles not only exploded in nearby Ashkelon but even reached Beersheba, nearly 50 kilometers to the east.

Next Arab Facebook Campaign: Get Millions To Invade Israel On May 15

Palestinian Authority activists have recreated the Third Intifada page that was banned by Facebook on Tuesday in response to thousands of member requests.

An Israeli Cabinet minister, the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and a massive Internet campaign were only some of the measures used to pressure the popular social networking site into removing the page, which promoted violence against Jews in Israel.

But the story doesn't end there, because angry Palestinian Authority sponsors of the page ensured the fight would continue.

A Muslim page similarly entitled "Subscribe now to the Palestinian Intifada," on its logo but which is innocuously entitled "Make the Prophet Number One on Facebook" on the heading is listed under Non-profit Organizations.

By Wednesday afternoon, the page had garnered more than three million -- 3,293,252 -- votes of support from Facebook members around the world.

Organizers have summoned millions of Arabs from across the Middle East to march into Israel and forcibly attempt to implement a de facto “Right of Return,” the Arab euphenism for the mass immigration of several million Arabs.

The date for this march has been set for May 15 – the anniversary of what the Arabs refer to as the “Nakba” or “Tragedy“ -- the date of the establishment of the State of Israel.

Although some of the pages promoting this campaign have warned its readers to maintain a peaceful demeanor, others do not bother with such niceties.

PROPHECY NEWS-STAND
Most of you are already familiar with the recent bombing at the bus station in Jerusalem. As of this writing one British tourist was killed and about 30 other people were injured. I believe we will see more and bolder terrorist attacks against Israel soon. I will tell you why.

Numerous Arab nations are in turmoil today and there is no end in sight. Even Syria is experiencing it and they seem to be almost as repressive as Libya in killing their own people. As described and prophesied in Genesis, we should expect Arab to kill Arab and Muslim to kill Muslim as we see the approach of the end time's wars of Psalm 83 and Ezekiel 38-39. However, do not be deceived. They share the hate for Israel and will unite (perhaps very loosely) against Israel, perhaps soon.
There is a spirit of jihad sweeping the Middle East under the guise of pro-democracy revolts. While we in the west have an immediate affinity for democracy, the issue is the replacement system. In many of these cases it appears that more radical Islamists will gain control. The Muslim Brotherhood, for example, is seen by the west and many Arab countries as the human guiding force behind the turmoil or, at a minimum, the primary beneficiary.

The spirit of jihad is demonic and it will eventually take on the form of anti-Israeli actions. The new bombing at the bus station is an example of the beginning and that is why we will see more soon accompanied by Israeli counter attacks.
I am certainly not a prophet and I have no divine revelation that I know of into the current events. Nevertheless, remember that Satan is a master at deception even when he stirs up real fighting among Israel's enemies. But Satan cannot fool God. God already knows Satan's plan and He will allow it to progress only along a path that fulfills His plan which is the total fulfillment of the prophecies we study. So then, as Watchmen on the Wall, we should be searching the horizon to see through current events and find those things coming upon the earth. Is all this turmoil destined to result in the prophesied end time's wars? Keep watch and find out.

Email assaults my inbox these days, informing me that we are now in the Tribulation. The messages come not only from the usual Rapture antagonists, but from those who claim they have always held the Pretrib Rapture position, but now it is obvious to them that the world has entered that last seven years of God’s wrath and judgment. We have been wrong about the Rapture’s timing, as witnessed by things going on in our minute-by-minute, breaking-news reports.

Disdain for any mention of Rapture lies at the heart of the more-often-than-not caustic rhetoric.

That was his position to begin with, but I am not too sure if that initial position may have changed dramatically and that he is now acting under the directives of Satan who is more than likely sitting on his right shoulder, is whispering in his ear and telling him what to say and do? There is one point though I must concur with, and that is the obvious popularity of the pre tribulation theory which can very easily be put down to the false self worth of some who are of the mindset that as the Lord has saved them he is never going to let them go through the worst time in the history of the world. How false the doctrine and mindset of those individuals who follow the rapture cult is.

I presume President Barack Obama is the person to whom this writer refers as filling the bill for being Antichrist. If so, this is not an unusual designation by those who declare that the Pretrib view is in error at best, and is a cultic abomination at worst.

Certainly with the constant stream of bad news coming from Japan, it is made to seem that we have entered apocalyptic times. The several nuclear reactors damaged by the 9.0 earthquake-spawned tsunami are fodder for those who offer evidence that the pretrib Rapture view is in error –or is heresy—and we now should look for Antichrist to begin working his dark, Tribulation magic. There is little doubt from this quarter that the son of perdition will have a full plate with which to deal once he steps into the end-times spotlight. A cursory scan of what these troubling times have already served up makes the point.

The world is in financial meltdown as portentous as the melting-down nuclear reactors on the island of Japan. The Middle East is in an uproar that is almost assuredly a precursor to alignment for the wrap-up of history leading to Christ’s Second Advent. Israel is being forced by the world of nations into a position of accepting the deadly covenant of false peace our anti-Rapturist emailer-friend declares to already be a done deal. Despite some scientists with blinders on declaring that nothing is unusual about the mega-magnitude earthquakes and other episodes of nature acting up, it is obvious to the most casual observer that something is up with the frequency and intensity of the geophysical upheavels.

Nonetheless, in the literary spirit of the Ides of March just past, friends, reviving Empire Romans, and countrymen–lend me your ears… the church of the Lord Jesus Christ is still here on planet earth, serving as salt and light. God the Holy Spirit continues to restrain the growing evil of this fallen sphere. He will do so until the church–all who are born again (John 3:3)—depart when Christ calls that body to Himself (John 14: 1-3; 1 Cor 15: 51-55; 1 Thes 4: 13-18; Rev 4:1-2).
I leave you with the same reassurance the apostle Paul imparted to the Thessalonians of his day, when they thought they were now in the Day of the Lord (Tribulation):

Obama accepts prospect of nuclear-armed Iran

During the four days between Thursday March 4 and Monday March 7, the Obama administration switched its Iran policy. As rocketing oil prices triggered by the Arab Revolt wiped out the damage caused the Iranian economy by sanctions,

Washington confirmed the worst Saudi and Israeli suspicions that America had no intention of acting to stop the Islamic Republic attaining nuclear weapons, although it held Israel back from doing so when it was more feasible.

This discovery has dealt America's allies in Riyadh and

Jerusalem their second letdown in three months, on the

heels of White House encouragement of the uprisings againsta

select number of Arab rulers.
The White House laid the ground for its change of heart on

Iran with public statements that drew little attention from

international media during the Libyan crisis.

The Director of National Intelligence James Clapper

presented the Senate Armed Services Committee this week

with a "revised" version of the controversial 2007 National Intelligence

Estimate which claimed orignally against all the evidence

that Iran had halted work on nuclear arms in 2003.

It is now confirmed that the misinformation contained in

the original NIE was the pretext for holding back -

not only an Israeli attack on Iran but also direct American

action for keeping nuclear arms out of Iran's hands.

By revising that erroneous estimate, the Obama administration

shows it is willing to catch up and come to terms with the reality

of Iran's wide-open option to develop nuclear weapons.

US official language reflects the administration's policy

turnabout on Iran. March 7, Washington announced that

the USS Monterey guided missile cruiser, whose Aegis

radar can monitor long- and short-range ballistic missiles and

transmit the data to interceptor missile ground stations,

would be deployed in the Mediterranean. "The US has started

implementing its plan to protect Europe from a potential Iranian

nuclear threat."
DEBKAfile notes that all past references to the US nuclear

shield for Europe referred to Iranian ballistic missiles – never a

nuclear threat.
Our military sources note that one of the key ground stations

to which the Monterey's radar is linked is the X-band forward

radar station located in the Israeli Negev near the Egyptian border,

which in turn is connected to Israel Arrow anti-missile missile

batteries designed especially to shoot down Iranian ballistic missiles.
The closer the Iranian nuclear menace comes to reality, the

further it recedes from Israeli political and media rhetoric.

Obama's fundamental policy shift on the subject is bad news

for Israel in general and at this time in particular, because his

support for the Arab Revolt is seen by Israeli and moderate Arab

rulers as further evidence of a White House decision to strengthen Iran,

which profits hugely from their losses.

Shortly before the Monterey announcement, the Washington Times

reported: An Annual intelligence report to Congress has dropped

language stating that Iran's nuclear weapons are a future option. A U.S.

official insisted there was no "sleight-of-hand" in the change but

could not explain why the recent report was altered from two previous

versions.

IAEA Director Yukiya Amano was also quoted as describing new

information on the military aspect of Iran's nuclear program in

his latest report. An internal report from Feb. 25 stated that

recent information disclosed "nuclear-related activities involving

military-related organizations, including activities related to the

development of a nuclear payload for a missile" as continuing after 2004.
The two omissions in the original 2007 NIE report are that

[US intelligence continues] "to assess Iran is keeping open

the option to develop nuclear weapons through we do not

know whether Tehran eventually decide to produce nuclear

weapons" and: "Iran continues to develop a range of

capabilities that could be applied to producing nuclear

weapons if a decision is made to do so."

Clearly, Tehran does not have the same trouble putting

its plans into words as do those US intelligence report writers.

It is bent on developing a nuclear bomb, has completed

the projects for its development and reserves the right to

set the date for assembling the completed components into a weapon.
Wednesday, March 9, the chief US envoy Glyn Davies reported

to the nuclear watchdog's board in Vienna that Iran may be

continuing secret work on developing nuclear weapons. In the

course of an argument with the Iranian delegate Ali Asghar

Soltanieh, Davies warned of "increasingly apparently military

dimensions to Iran's nuclear program, including efforts by Iran

to develop a nuclear warhead."

"Iran continues to act very much like a state with something

to hide," he told the board.

Ahmadinejad: Arrogant Powers Declining

Huge Japan quake causes tsunami, fires, landslide
TOKYO (Reuters) – A massive 8.9 magnitude quake hit northeast Japan Friday, causing many injuries, fires and a four-meter (13-ft) tsunami along parts of the country's coastline, NHK television and witnesses reported.

There were several strong aftershocks and a warning of a 10-meter tsunami following the quake, which also caused buildings to shake violently in the capital Tokyo.

TV pictures showed a vast wall of water carrying buildings and debris across a large swathe of coastal farmland.

Public broadcaster NHK showed flames and black smoke billowing from a building in Odaiba, a Tokyo suburb, and bullet trains to the north of the country were halted.

Is Barack Obama the “promised warrior” coming to help the Hidden Imam of Shiite Muslims conquer the world?

The question has made the rounds in Iran since last month, when a pro-government Web site published a Hadith (or tradition) from a Shiite text of the 17th century. The tradition comes from Bahar al-Anvar (meaning Oceans of Light) by Mullah Majlisi, a magnum opus in 132 volumes and the basis of modern Shiite Islam.

According to the tradition, Imam Ali Ibn Abi-Talib (the prophet’s cousin and son-in-law)prophesied that at the End of Times and just before the return of the Mahdi, the Ultimate Saviour, a “tall black man will assume the reins of government in the West.” Commanding “the strongest army on earth,” the new ruler in the West will carry “a clear sign” from the third imam, whose name was Hussein Ibn Ali. The tradition concludes: “Shiites should have no doubt that he is with us.”

In a curious coincidence Obama’s first and second names–Barack Hussein–mean “the blessing of Hussein” in Arabic and Persian. His family name, Obama, written in the Persian alphabet, reads O Ba Ma, which means “he is with us,” the magic formula in Majlisi’s tradition.

Mystical reasons aside, the Khomeinist establishment sees Obama’s rise as another sign of the West’s decline and the triumph of Islam. Obama’s promise to seek unconditional talks with the Islamic Republic is cited as a sign that the U.S. is ready to admit defeat. Obama’s position could mean abandoning three resolutions passed by the United Nations Security Council setting conditions that Iran should meet to avoid sanctions. Seeking unconditional talks with the Khomeinists also means an admission of moral equivalence between the U.S. and the Islamic Republic. It would imply an end to the description by the U.S. of the regime as a “systematic violator of human rights.”

Obama has abandoned claims by all U.S. administrations in the past 30 years that Iran is “a state sponsor of terrorism.” Instead, he uses the term “violent groups” to describe Iran-financed outfits such as Hamas and Hezbollah.

Obama has also promised to attend a summit of the Organization of the Islamic Conference within the first 100 days of his presidency. Such a move would please the mullahs, who have always demanded that Islam be treated differently, and that Muslim nations act as a bloc in dealings with Infidel nations.

Ahmadinejad has described the U.S. as a “sunset” (ofuli) power as opposed to Islam, which he says is a “sunrise” (toluee) power. Last summer, he inaugurated an international conference called World Without America–attended by anti-Americans from all over the world, including the U.S.

Seen from Tehran, Obama’s election would demoralize the U.S. armed forces by casting doubt on their victories in Iraq and Afghanistan, if not actually transforming them into defeat. American retreat from the Middle East under Obama would enable the Islamic Republic to pursue hegemony of the region. Tehran is especially interested in dominating Iraq, thus consolidating a new position that extends its power to the Mediterranean through Syria and Lebanon.

The above is astounding as it may, at minimum, encourage Muslims to further unite to form some type of confederation so that someone later can claim to be the Mahdi–a leader that many Muslims believe will lead to the Islamic conquering of the world (but the Bible shows that this confederation will fail, Daniel 11:40-43, also see King of the South ).

Interestingly, just before the presidential election, Iran’s Ahmadinejad said he did not care for either USA presidential candidate, but later seemed to change his mind once Barack Obama actually won (I suspect that if Iran’s government endorsed Barack Obama publicly prior to his election that this could have affected the voting in the USA).

Temple Building for Dummies

A few days ago, on the 14th of Adar Alef, I went to the Mount of Olives, overlooking the Temple Mount, and recited some Tehillim by the grave of Rabbi Tzvi Yehuda HaKohen Kook, of blessed memory, in honor of his yahrtzeit.

When Rabbi Kook’s students occasionally suggested that the time had come to rebuild the Beit HaMikdash, he would respond in his usual straightforward fashion: “When people approach me with the proposition to build the Beit HaMikdash, I say: What you claim doesn’t come from an abundance of Torah knowledge on your part, but from a paucity of it.”

I will try to explain, blee nader, in the next few blogs, some basic things connected to this question, in as simple a manner as I can, according to the teachings of our Sages.

More than lumber and stones.

The Beit HaMikdash (Holy Jerusalem Temple) is not just a building. Something takes place within the building. The main goal of the Beit HaMikdash is not the courtyard and chambers and walls of the building, but rather the service of G-d which is conducted inside. Yes, we could construct the outer shell of the Beit HaMikdash today, but what would we do there?

Beit HaMikdash means the holy House of G-d. This is the intersection point of G-d’s Divine Presence, known as the Shechinah, with the world. The whole concept of the Beit HaMikdash is the fear and reverence for G-d. This means that a person, and the Jewish Nation as a whole, on ascending to the Beit HaMikdash, are to put the fear and reverence of G-d as the main goal and aspiration of our lives, with an utter commitment to the commandments of the Torah and its Divinely-given laws.

Now I ask you – is the Nation ready for this?

The Beit HaMikdash is the heart and center of the Nation of Israel. While the Kohanim perform the service inside the Temple, on behalf of the pilgrims who come there, it is a house of worship for all people. It isn’t enough that a handful of devout Kohanim are ready to do the L-rd’s bidding - the Nation as a whole must want and be ready to embrace all of the exalted responsibilities that go with it.

Is CNN ready for this? Are you?

Now I ask you – is the Jewish Nation ready to bring animal sacrifices and slaughter them on the Altar in the worship of G-d? Is each and every individual ready to come up to Jerusalem in repentance over his sins and bow down in total submission to the teachings of the Almighty? Are we ready to make the Festivals in Jerusalem our highest joy?

May the day soon come, but it seems to me that we have a little more t’shuva to do before we reach that level.

King David asks: “Who will ascend the mountain of the L-rd, and who will stand in His Holy Place? He who has cleans hands and a pure heart, who has not taken My Name in vain and sworn deceitfully” (Tehillim, 24:3-4). Besides the Zohar’s teaching that “he who has clean hands” means someone who has not spilled his seed in vain, have we reached this exalted level of standing in G-d’s Holy Place?

Without the supreme reverence to G-d and total commitment to His Torah, the Beit HaMikdash is just a building like any other. As long as our inflated egos and passions rule over our lives, we have no place at all on His holy mountain.

In our daily morning prayers, we say: “May it be Your will, L-rd our G-d and G-d of our fathers, that the Temple be speedily rebuilt in our days; and grant us a portion in your Torah. There we will serve You in reverence, as in the days of old and as in former years.”

The people who demand that the Temple be rebuilt now, are they also ready to embrace the commandments of the Torah and to serve G-d with the utter reverence required? Are they ready to beg forgiveness for the past, confess that their errant ways were sinful, and promise never to return to their haughty flouting of the Torah in pursuit of their personal lusts?
it is important to understand that the Redemption of our Nation is a gradual developing process. When the L-rd gathers us to Israel from the far corners of the globe, as He is doing in our time, in a gradual historical process spanning decades, we first must cleanse ourselves and heal our minds from the pollution and trauma of the long exile amongst the nations. There are stages to this process of national healing and returning to our true Israeli selves, first in rebuilding the Land, which slowly leads to rebuilding ourselves into the Holy Nation of G-d, not only in our inner unique holiness as Jews, but also in practice, living in Israel according to all the commandments of the Torah.

I ask once again – is everyone ready for this right now?

As to the question – what does Tzvi Fishman himself do to further the building of the Beit HaMikdash? The answer is not enough. However, to point the way, here are a few things that I do to hopefully bring the day closer:

First, just by giving up the exile and living in Eretz Yisrael, I am adding my share in the rebuilding of the Nation of Israel in our Land, which all of the Prophets proclaimed was a necessary preliminary step to the building of the Temple (Sanhedrin 20B; Rambam, Laws of Kings and Their Wars, 1:1-2).

By marrying and raising my children in Israel, I am building the Nation in Israel and helping to pave the foundation for the Temple.
In all of our daily prayers, I pray for the rebuilding of the Temple, it being a tenet of our faith that prayer after prayer after prayer will fill up the cup of deliverance.

In accordance with the teaching of our Sages, I dutifully recite the Order of the Sacrifices before Shacharit and Mincha, which is considered like bringing the sacrifices themselves, thus adding to the purification of the Nation.

Following the teaching of the Chofetz Chaim, I study the chapters of Mishna dealing with the Temple service and study the laws of the Beit HaMikdash, in preparation for its building.

I try to rise from sleep several nights a week to recite “Tikun Hatzot,” the Midnight Lament over the exile and destruction of the Temple, a practice which the Sages of the secrets of Torah exceedingly praise as a forerunner to the Temple’s rebuilding.
For years, I have given up other activities on Motzei Shabbat to go to the Kotel and recite Psalms for the ingathering of the exiles and the Temple’s rebuilding.

I have made a film about the Mishkan and its construction that is a required part of the Israel Education Ministry program for high school students.

I have written a novel, “The Discman and the Guru” in which the longing for the Temple Mount plays the central part in the climax of the story.

On Tisha B’Av, I go to the Kotel to mourn over the Destruction and pray for the Temple’s rebuilding.
I often write about the importance of aliyah, which is a prerequisite for the Temple’s rebuilding (Rambam, Laws of Kings 1:1-2).

I write often about Shmirat HaBrit which is a prerequisite to the service in the Temple, for anyone with an impurity of “Keri” is not allowed in its holy premises. In my book, “Secret of the Brit,” based on the teachings of our Sages, I explained why the destruction of the Temple and Jerusalem (Malchut) stems largely from sexual transgression, and explained the pathways of repentance which rectify the damage which our misplaced passions cause.

And, believe it or not, behind all of my blogs, is a sincere love for all of the Jewish People, with the hope of leading people who haven’t learned better, out of their errant ways and misguided beliefs, in accordance with the words of Rabbi Avraham Yitzhak HaKohen Kook, “Just as the Second Temple was destroyed by gratuitous hate, it will be rebuilt through gratuitous love.”

As I said, all this is not enough. However, everyone living in Israel who takes part in the rebuilding of the Nation in our Land is working to bring closer the day when the Temple will be rebuilt, may it come soon.

On the other hand, everyone who idles in foreign lands and clings to the exile, prolonging its length and subjugation of our People, hampers in the Temple’s rebuilding and delays that awaited day when the Shechinah shall return in all of its splendor to Zion.

The Arab Muslim World Is On Fire With Islamic Revolution

The Arab Muslim World is on fire with an Islamic Revolution, and what we hear from the main line media is that they want Democracy. What the Western World doesn't grasp is that the Arab's understanding of Democracy is not the same as theirs. The short answer to what they want is a 'fast track' to Islamic Sharia(Muslim Law). You see, they don't consider that to be a Dictatorship. They believe that to be the will of their 'god' Allah.

But if you were to believe Obama or Clinton, you'd think that theMuslim Arab world is about to turn into a wonderful, peace lovingDemocratic and free society. Nothing could be further from the truth than that. They want to establish a global Islamic rule called a 'Caliphate', and this does not just take in the Arab region - but the entire world. If you want to appreciate what Democracy means to the Arab World, take a close look at Gaza. You've heard it said that 'a vote does not a democracy make'. Yet there so much more to it than that.

The instigator behind this Islamic Movement in the Middle East is Iran. They have become the power broker in control of Lebanon. Hezbollah and Hamas, using that influence, are deeply involved in the Egyptian "revolution" through the Muslim Brotherhood. They have arms that reach deep into the Wahhabi in Saudi Arabia, which in turn have infiltrated the school system of the United States and the White House.

Iran has been allowed to continue toward their goal of being a nuclear power in the region and the wider world simply because neither the US or Israel have the 'intestinal fortitude' to take them on. Because of this Iran has become very bold and is now flexing her muscles by sending two warships through the Suez Canaldestined for the shores of Syria - where Russia also has her battleships moored.

It is well known that Ahmadinejad believes himself to be the one to bring the 12th Imam into the world. He also believes the only way he can do that is to turn the world into a bloodbath - and to begin that with the destruction of Israel.

A couple of years ago this would have sounded totally insane, but today it is common knowledge. Possibly the only country that could have stopped Ahmadinejad would have been the US, with Israel's help. But the Devil took care of that with the last Presidential Election. We could of course say that it was, or is, God's Will and there is nothing we can do about it. Yet I believe God would have us fight against evil with all of our might and in every way possible. By the way, one of the two Iranian ships now in the Mediterranean is a missile carrier, and we don't know what kind of missiles it has aboard.

If you want to know how to see what is really happening in the world I can give you a very strong hint. Look at the Muslim women and how they are dressed. By that observation you can tell how fanatical the men are. For example in Gaza, Bethlehem and Hebron after the Muslims took control, within a month or two the women were wearing full body covering. As for the men, they started sporting beards, and shortly thereafter the missiles started flying into Israel.

They are still coming, and all the Christians who could - have left. If you will look at the videos of the riots in Egypt, Tunisia, and elsewhere, you will notice that the women on the streets shouting and full of hate are completely covered. You will also notice that when the mainline media wants to interview an Arab woman they try to find a woman who is not fully covered.

The bottom line in all these Arab riots is that when the dust settles Shiite Muslims will be in control and Sharia Law will be in place. That is what their style of Democracy will look like - again, just as in Gaza.

With all this happening in the Middle East, Obama and Clinton still stayed zeroed in on the 'Two State Solution' that will establish a Muslim terrorist state inside of Israel. What is most likely to happen is that Netanyahu will, somewhere down the road, settle for an International Force - possibly from NATO or the UN, to manage the peace between Israel and the "Palestinians". That will bring the armies to surround Jerusalem.

One thing is certain. These next two years promise to be exciting both ecologically and politically, and it is my belief that the fireworks are about to begin. As for the US, all I can say is God have Mercy on His own there who truly love Him.

What is important is for all of us to be obedient to God's call on our lives. To understand the importance Israel plays in God's economy and endtime prophecies. To have compassion and love for one another, and to know that God has a perfect love in which is found no fear.

Obama Orders Military To Prepare For Spring Food Riots

A grim report prepared by France’s General Directorate for External Security (DGSE) obtained by Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) states that president’s Obama and Sarkozy have “agreed in principal” to create a joint US-European military force to deal exclusively with a Global uprising expected this spring as our World runs out of food.

According to this report, Sarkozy, as head of the G-20 group of developed Nations, called for and received an emergency meeting with Obama this past Monday at the White House wherein he warned his American counterpart that the shock rise in food prices occurring due to an unprecedented series of disasters was threatening the stability of the entire World and could lead to the outbreak of Total Global War.

Just last week French Prime Minister Francois Fillon underlined that one of France’s top G-20 priorities was to find a collective response to “excessive volatility” in food prices now occurring, a statement joined by Philippe Chalmin, a top economic adviser to the French government, who warned the World may face social unrest including food riots in April as grain prices increase to unprecedented highs.

The United Nations, also, warned this past Friday that millions of people are now at risk after food prices hit their highest level ever as Global wheat stocks fell to 175.2 million tons from 196.7 million tons a year ago; Global corn stocks are said may be 127.3 million tons at the end of this season, compared with last month’s USDA outlook for 130 million tons; and Global soybean inventories will drop to 58.78 million tons at the end of this season, from 60.4 million tons a year earlier.

Robert Zoellick, president of the World Bank, further warned this past week that rising food prices are “a threat to global growth and social stability” as our World, for the first time in living memory, has been warned is just “one poor harvest away from chaos”.

Important to note about how dire the Global food situation has become is to understand the disasters that have befallen our World’s top wheat growing Nations this past year, and who in descending order are: China, India, United States, Russia, France, Canada, Germany, Ukraine, Australia and Pakistan.

From China’s disaster: 2010 China drought and dust storms were a series of severe droughts during the spring of 2010 that affected Yunnan, Guizhou, Guangxi, Sichuan, Shanxi, Henan, Shaanxi, Chongqing, Hebei and Gansu in the People’s Republic of China as well as parts of Southeast Asia including Vietnam and Thailand, and dust storms in March and April that affected much of East Asia. The drought has been referred to as the worst in a century in southwestern China.

From India’s disaster: A record heat wave and growing water crisis in India are forcing politicians to consider implementing user fees and other measures to conserve water. Sri Lanka’s President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday instructed ministers and officials to prepare a strategic plan to face an impending food crisis as there were signs that the World is to confront a food shortage by next April.

From Russia’s disaster: (10% of total World’s output, 20% for export) they were hit by the highest recorded temperatures Russia has seen in 130 years of recordkeeping; the most widespread drought in more than three decades; and massive wildfires that have stretched across seven regions, including Moscow.

From France’s disaster: The French government lowered their wheat crop forecast by 2.7% over last year due to drought and cold weather.

From Canada’s disaster: Record setting drought has affected their main grain producing provinces in the Western part of their Nation.

From Ukraine’s disaster: (the World’s top producer of barley and sixth biggest of wheat) hit as hard as Russia by fire and drought to the point they have halted all their exports of grains in 2011.

From Australia’s disaster: Fears of a Global wheat shortage have risen after the Queensland area of Australia was hit by calamitous flooding. Andrew Fraser, Queensland’s State Treasurer, described the floods as a “disaster of biblical proportions”. Water is covering land the size of France and Germany. It is expected to reach over 30 feet deep in some areas in coming days.

From Pakistan’s disaster: Floods have submerged 17 million acres of Pakistan’s most fertile crop land, have killed 200,000 herd of livestock and have washed away massive amounts of grain and left farmers unable to meet the fall deadline for planting new seeds, which implies a massive loss of food production in 2011, and potential long term food shortages.

Not only have the vast majority of our World’s top wheat producers been affected, but also one of the main grain producing regions on the Planet, South America, has been hit by disasters too where an historic drought has crippled Argentina and Bolivia, and Brazil, that regions largest Nation, has been hit with catastrophic floods that have killed nearly 400 people in the past few days alone.

Even the United States has been hit as a catastrophic winter has seen 49 of their 50 States covered by snow causing unprecedented damage to their crops in Florida due to freezing weather, and record setting rainsdestroying massive numbers of crops in their most important growing region of California.

And if you think that things couldn’t get any worse you couldn’t be more mistaken as South Korea (one of the most important meat exporters in Asia) has just this past week had to destroy millions of farm animals after an outbreak of the dreaded foot-and-mouth disease was discovered.

To how horrific the Global food situation will become this year was made even more grim this past month when the United States reported that nearly all of their honey bee and bumblebee populations have died out, and when coupled with the “mysterious” die-off of the entire bat population in America means that the two main pollinators of fruit and vegetable plants will no longer be able to do their jobs leading to crop losses this report warns will be “biblical and catastrophic”.

Chillingly to note is that after meeting with Sarkozy, Obama began implementing his Nation’s strategy for keeping the truth of this dire events from reaching the American people by ordering all US citizens to have an Internet ID so that they can be tracked and jailed should they begin telling the truth.

And so today, as agricultural traders and analysts warn that the latest revision to US and Global stocks means there is no further room for weather problems, a new cyclone is preparing to hit Australia, brutal winter weather in India has killed nearly 130, and more snow is warned to hit America, and we’re not even two full weeks into 2011… may God have mercy on us all.

Israel was shocked to learn on Monday that Britain is seriously considering upgrading the status of the Palestinian Authority delegation in London to that of an official diplomatic mission, putting it basically on par with the delegations of sovereign states.

The news, which was first reported by Israel’s Ynet news portal, was especially surprising considering that Britain’s current conservative government is viewed as generally pro-Israel.

Britain is not the first European country to recognize Palestinian delegations as diplomatic missions. France, Spain and Portugal have all already done so.

Israel fears that the next step for the Europeans is to officially recognize “Palestine” as an independent state outside the framework of an Israeli-Palestinian final status peace agreement. Most of South America has already gone so far as to officially recognize “Palestine.”

The Palestinian Authority is playing off this worrying trend and is threatening seek official UN recognition for a unilateral declaration of independence if Israel does not meet all its demands.

If European Union powerhouses like Britain and France recognize a Palestinian state, the Palestinians are likely to have all the backing they need in the UN, forcing the hands of both Israel and the US, which is currently still opposed to the unilateral establishment of a Palestinian state.

The situation has reached this point because the Palestinians have managed to successfully reverse reality and paint Israel as a non-compliant peace partner. With the international community so anxious to conclude a final status peace deal (even if it doesn’t lead to genuine peace), it is ready to give the Palestinians what they want, with or without Israel.

Most Evangelicals Believe Good People are Heaven-Bound

1 John 1:8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.

The majority of Protestants and evangelicals believe that good people and people of other religions can go to heaven, according to author David Campbell.

Campbell, who co-wrote American Grace, How Religion Divides and Unites Us, contends that surveys of 3,000 Americans, used to write the book, show that American people of faith, though devout, are very tolerant. So much so that most believers also believe that good people, despite their religious affiliation, can go to heaven.
Among the faiths, 83 percent of evangelical Protestants agreed that good people of other religions can go to heaven. Ninety percent of black Protestants also believe good people can go to heaven.
When prodded further, more than half – 54 percent – of evangelical Protestants said yes, people of religions other than Christianity can go to heaven. Sixty-two percent of black Protestants agreed with the statement.
Notably, the author mentioned that there may be some in the evangelical category that don't belong.
Campbell, an expert of religion, politics and public policy, explained at a Thursday discussion of his book that the numbers can be explained with the “Aunt Susan” theory. Aunt Susan, he said, is the nice family member who is well-loved and is an all around do-gooder.
“You know that if anyone is destined to go to heaven, it’s Aunt Susan,” described Campbell.
However, Aunt Susan is of another religion. Rather than condemn that person to a lost eternity, Campbell said, most American believers choose instead to believe that that person is heaven-bound.
He also shared that knowing an Aunt Susan opens believers up to other faiths.
“You become warmer not only to people of that group, but to people of other groups,” Campbell contended.
Simply put, interlocking social networks allows believers to accept tenants of other faiths.
Richard Land, president of the Southern Baptist Convention’s Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission, works with leaders of many faiths on issues such as stopping pornography, abortion and religiouspersecution.
“That doesn’t mean that I’m going to abandon the New Testament teaching,” he stated.
Those who do so to accommodate other beliefs “aren’t very good evangelicals,” in his view.
Land lamented that more evangelicals are being taught the doctrine of universalism. “It’s emphasized from the pulpit; it’s emphasized in the seminaries,” he decried.
Universalism is the theological doctrine that all people will eventually be saved despite a relationship with Christ.
He said this is especially true of youths because the messages from the pulpit have changed.
“I think the doctrine ‘In Christ alone’ … was emphasized more 25 years ago than it is today so young [people] are hearing about it less,” he revealed.
While Land said it is possible for Methodists, Baptists, Lutherans and even Catholics to follow the tenants of their faiths and have salvation in Jesus Christ, he stated that the same is not true for Buddhists, Muslims and Mormons.
“It is impossible to believe what Mormons believe and be a Christian. It is impossible to believe what Muslims believe and be a Christian,” he said.
Likewise, he acknowledged that there may be unsaved believers among Methodists, Baptists, Lutherans and Catholics. Salvation, the biblical requirement for heaven, is an individual and personal choice, he told The Christian Post.
Land said he quotes the Bible’s New Testament which states that there is one mediator between God and men and that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life to all those who ask about heaven. If missionary work and evangelism is to continue on into the future, other Protestants must do the same, he asserted.
“If the price of respecting your faith is to deny mine, then that price is too high,” declared Land.
Campbell’s discussion was held at the Pew Forum in Washington, D.C.
